Hope so as will mean I’m with a podium placing team or the FIA garage. Although you see and learn more with those towards the back of the grid, if you’re with a team not fighting for anything or otherwise in a good end of season mood, you can have some very good/insightful conversations with the engineers and even the drivers.
However those days are pretty much gone post covid, the role is more limited to observing from outside the garage. F2 is much more hands on.
@sandpitsteve you should consider getting involved next year if you fancy it, very easy to do so with an introduction.
Sounds like fun! I’m actually volunteering for marshalling at Dubai Autodrome this season, so might get involved that way in a year or two. Will DM you later.
