Daniel is out. Here come the critics.

Anyone know where the studios are for MC? Thought it might be Three Mills having seen the train bridge/canal clip just now.

Marcus Wareing.

Absolute of the highest order - an intensely unlikeable individual.

MRJ was basically outed because of him advertising potatoes.

Tom Kerridge has no-where near the pedigree of MRJ or MW (despite my inherent dislike for him) even though he has 2 stars to which a large proportion of the catering industry and critics completely disagree with plus

Phil Howard of The Square would have been my choice, firm, fair but with a decent blokes persona, plus he's been at the top of his game for many years at 2 stars. Gary Rhodes would have been a good shout (although his on screen personality has changed significantly over the last few years to something a lot more sullen and serious) as would most of the Roux Scholarship judges. Michel Roux Snr would have been a great watch as well.
I don't think I've ever heard anyone suggest Tom Kerridge doesn't deserve his Michelin stars, what sources can you point me to?

Looks like a new one. Used to be in a brewery in Wandsworth.

That "classic Chinese flavours" dish that Sam knocked up last night looked terrible, the beef had clearly not been rested properly and was leaking fluids everywhere, and the blue cheese he had shredded on top looked like some sort of parasitic worms escaping from the flesh. Vile, no wonder he got the boot.

One would think by now the chefs would know not to over complicate their dishes.

I have to say after watching all episodes so far Marcus is coming across as a very amiable bloke. Enjoying the show and the new look chef.

Agreed.

He has definitely toned down his evil side for this series.

Yep and, nice to see that he doesn't always agree with Monica.

Marcus seems to have a massive amount of respect for the ingredients and the process, he really loves finesse. I think he is proving an excellent choice for the program.

Yes I quite like him. Seems to have some humour about him and says it like it is good or bad.

Did anyone see him on Great British Menu - it's like two completely different people !
I wonder which is the real Marcus - the one that his employees see ?
