who'd be a policeman in this day and age? utterly thankless job
Totally agree. The country is in one st state overall and trying to police that is an impossible task. The rights of the criminals generally outweighs that of the victim and the police themselves. What gets me is how nice they have to be to known perpetrators during interviews. Does my fking head in treating these scum bags with any kind of respect or decorum. What boils my piss is that one of the perpetrators was on a tag at the time of the killing and the Police didn't know he was involved until the mum grassed him up.
What is the fking point of a tag if someone on one can kill someone in broad daylight, on camera and get away with it unless someone identifies them?!!!!

Police don't have live monitoring/access to tag data so they can't just log in and see who was there at the time. What is the fking point of a tag if someone on one can kill someone in broad daylight, on camera and get away with it unless someone identifies them?!!!!

Because the tag is there to monitor that the wearer is keeping to the Home Detention Curfew. The fact that it can be used to determine the whereabouts of the wearer is an aside and the location is constantly being monitored live so to speak. One of the stupidest group of criminals to ever commit a murder surely.
Mum takes them on a ride along to go and find an opposing gang member. Uses her own car registered to her.
Clothes used to commit murder left next to their own house.
Surely getting away with murder in London must be nigh on impossible now with the amount of CCTV and ring cameras etc.

I did wonder just how much control she has over her son or, more likely I think, he over her? I'm not excusing or justifying her in the slightest but I wouldn't find it hard to believe that she was doing as she was told. She's clearly not the smartest of people when she thought that she'd be able to keep her son out of it by playing dumb around his even being there. She should have gone to the Police herself but chances are she'd end up as a victim herself.

You would think, but watching a lot of US live TV trials where it's common for defence counsel to attempt to throw out CCTV footage that shows the actual murder
as it could be " prejudicial to my client " or it " infringes my client's rights under a specified Amendment " , the judge
actually gives the request due consideration.
The Met may have its problems but a lot of empathy (and other emotions) shown by the police in tonight’s show. The young Eastern European lass who got murdered in the shipping container.
Good work in tracking down all the CCTV and finding her jacket, the carpet and the jigsaw at the skip place.
Hopefully he’ll die in jail.

Prefer if he died in a prison in his own country, so I don't have Good work in tracking down all the CCTV and finding her jacket, the carpet and the jigsaw at the skip place.

to pay for the fat 's food, board and medical treatments.
If the Met didn't have to deal with serious crimes committed by immigrants
they might have more time to spend finding out who stole your car or burgled your house.

Indeed, any legal-aid solicitor worth their student loan will always advise
anyone in custody never to answer any police questions, be you innocent
or not, take note, it's very good advice.

Only just caught up with episode 3. Good work to identify the Lithuanian fella, but it struck me that he was presumably known to police prior to the murder (custody photograph and on the DNA database) and border force had his details too (entered the UK in 2016) and at the same time he was also subject to an international arrest warrant.
I’ve no idea about how international policing works, but it doesn’t feel like it would be beyond the agencies involved have cross-referenced the various data sources and identify his likely whereabouts before he had a chance to murder the Portuguese fella.
