If you go commando on a nice warm breezy day in a skirt, it feels nice....

A tactical skirt....nice. Would i wear one? No but that's just because i like my shorts and i'm happy enough with them especially when it's warm, i virtually live in shorts when it is warm

Dunno,

Possibly in that triggered stubborn protest way - the unfair school uniform stories that pop up from time to time.

If the norm for that kind of clothing was more fluid the I guess the answer is why not on occasion. Decent kilts are heavy and hot but proper light skirt type clothing must be a different prospect.

I don't like shorts so I'm not wearing what's effectively a one legged pair of shorts lol!

I did once go out dressed as a Roman soldier which effectively meant wearing a mini skirt.

I learned two things from this:
  1. Sitting with my legs apart as normal, was not appreciated by those sitting opposite.
  2. Having bare thighs when using a pub urinal illuminated an alarming amount of splashback.

I wouldn't wear a dress.

But robes, yes manly robes, dark blue, maybe with some gold stars and crescent moons on them. Maybe some fur trim too.

Probably not a skirt because like others I like pockets, and shorts work just fine.

I've worn a thobe in the Middle East.

Had to take a flight on the Googlecopter to see what it was but that looks smart and well ventilated.

They can look really smart, imo.

Although, doesn't entirely relate to the question here, because Kurtas are worm with trousers.

To answer the question myself, my answer is that yes, I would. I'm Scottish and wear a Kilt on occasion, and enjoy it, so if men's skirts became a widespread thing, I'd be onboard with it.

In the (19!) 20s / 30s women started wearing trousers and it was considered quite shocking, considering men in skirts is the same but from the other direction. I guess WW2 changed public opinion when women started doing 'mens' jobs.

Given how generally conservative PH tends to be towards such things, I'm surprised that Yes is ahead, even if only by 3%!

You can wear a Kurta without the pajama bottoms. I’ve got a few including a linen one that’s really loose like a nightshirt. Great in hot humid weather.

I’ve worn mine to work for Holi and Indian national day, only with the pajamas. Still haven’t had the bravery to wear a dish dash to work, was hoping one of my Arab colleagues would do so to set a precedent, far to sweaty weather wise at the moment to be wearing western attire.
