I went female V this time round too, also Corpo.

My build is focused on speed and using technique attributes (dash, double jump, repel bullets with blade etc) But because of the type of perks I have built up, it works great for gun play too, like the triple jump that is now possible thanks to combining dash and double jump for long range kills without pulling out a long scope. More fun too hah.

My V's current look:

I also cannot get over how much this game looks like a movie a lot of the time, the smoothness of motion

And the overall vibe I get of Luther when doing missions with Solomon Reed:

I just started a new run last night, taking the advice that it's best starting again. Also playing on PC currently with cross-save on so I can hop tot he couch when I want. It does look stunning on the PC I have to say!

Gone for a Nomad this time, still a ginger chap though!

Unfortunately, I was bitterly, bitterly disappointed when the game release 3 years ago and was basically a massive steaming turd, so I didn't bother playing it.
Once again, I played it perfectly happily from, literally, day 1.
I had a couple (that is: two) of clipping issues, neither of which broke the game in any way.
Same here. I assumed most of the negative reviews were related to consoles because I finished it on pc and loved every minute of it.

I'm about 2/3's of the way through the DLC (I think) after spending about 24hrs playing it and still seeing a few graphical glitches every now and again but certainly nothing "game breaking" so far. I'd adapted my previous "Stealth Revolver with some net-running" build after the loss of silencers on revolvers and gone into Optical Camo with a silenced Rifle, Panam's Silenced Sniper and a Katana for upclose melee/blade attacks with a Sandevistan deck but I'm close to my cyberpsychosis limit which starts to make an appearance during really hard combat (orange hue to screen, manic laughing etc).

One thing I have noticed, in comparison to the full game, is that the decisions the DLC forces you to make are far more morally "grey" than most the jobs in the main game, with no obvious "this is the right choice for everyone" decisions and instead lots of "neither choice is good so who do you want to hurt less" which I really like, despite if making the DLC harder to play if you're looking for only "good" outcomes.

I'm going for a very similar build myself mainly for the katana/air dash skills as well having seen how cool they now look.

Anyone managed to actually kill a MaxTac response team?

Having fun causing carnage, then these guys (and girls) turn up and i'm dead within about a minute, if I'm lucky. Usually it's the Mantis ones teleporting towards me that do it.

I'm low key obsessed now.. is there actually any reward for taking them out?

They did call me a cyberpsycho which made me smile smile

Started a new play through when 2.0 came out and started the Phantom Liberty scenario Saturday night. Was level 32 when I started, think I had hit 36 by the time I entered the free roaming part.
From what online reviewers have said I am taking a hard path (at medium difficulty) as I'm doing stealth hacking. Did die twice during the scripted stuff, both times in the museum.

Speaking of the Katana, last night I got the thermal one, it's a bit tricky as you need level 20 in technical ability to open a specific door in the basement of the electric company building, but man is it cool.

I'm now working on my attribute points to leverage the swordplay.

I also have the dark energy Militec deck and gun, they deal lethal power and infect NPCs with ghost AI, they basically burn from the inside out and scream in pain before dying, you also hear the ghost AI talking to you which is quite haunting. It's absolutely excellent.

I'm about 35 hours in now, leaning into tech, cool and intelligence skills as they seem to offer the most benefit thus far. I'm going for undetected stealth clears whenever a gig or side story looks like it was intended to be done in stealth and going loud whenever the mission brief makes it clear people should get iced. Feels like the right way to play for my V.

I had bought her the toxic projectile launcher cyberware but sadly it seems like it can't be upgraded by mods so I switched over to Gorilla arms and grenades again. At the moment I'm using the Comrade's Hammer hand cannon and the Divided we Stand auto rifle. Extremely fun weapons to use, the combat is a real joy in this game, which i really wasn't expecting as RPG combat, particularly in FPS RPG games, can sometimes feel like a bit of an afterthought.

Still no sign of Idris, but then again I was 20 hours in before I saw the title sequence play. I'm not rushing the game, that's for sure, but I am loving every minute.

Nice. That puts my build to shame somewhat lol.

I skimmed a video talking about this (don't want to be spoiled) and apparently you can only choose the deck OR the gun.. is that true? If so how have you got both?

You only need that if you're carrying on with an existing character, else if you're starting a fresh character you pick it up as part of the Judy quest line when you raid the plant looking for Evie.

Yeah if you don't walk up to the furnace and notice it then you can miss it and once you leave, that door is locked and can't be opened without being level 20 tech.

Yeah by default you can only pick one to craft, but being on PC, you can enter a CET console command to add the other to your inventory. So I added the Erebus. It's a bit silly you can't craft both but there you go. Makes for some fun killing sprees using both though for sure.

Patch 2.01 is now out.

Details in the above link. Key one for me, as a stealth hacker, is the return of being able to cycle through your cyber arm weaponry along side the three physical slots.

Ok my game is officially hosed and I’m gutted.

Have progressed into the DLC, not particularly far mission wise but enough that I’ve spent 10+ hours game time and more than that in actual time, and I’ve got the bug where you’re stuck in a phone call. I’m stuck with Songbird talking to me (although not, and in story terms it wouldn’t be possible), and I can’t call anyone, can’t advance time, etc.

On PC you can force end calls using console commands, per this: https://reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/s/IHFi2WQHm9

Obviously console commands don’t work on PS5.

I have a radical idea to fix.. since there is cross progression in the game, and apparently you can go from PC to console in unrestricted regions like the UK, I’m wondering if I could transfer my save to the GOG cloud, open it on PC, run that console command, save it, then load it back on PS5?

Only problem with this theory is that I would have to buy the game on PC, and the expansion, and I don’t have a decent enough PC for it. frown

Silly questions time ....
Have you tried the new patch as your bug may be fixed if it is a known one?
Have you tried going back to an earlier auto save ?

Mr Hands is done now, his gift was a little lame though have to say, expected something a bit leaner biggrin

Now doing side stuff in Dog Town, and El Captain has set me up with a finale it seems too, the view from the dam during his meet as the sun set was too epic not to grab this:

And that mission where you enter the dinosaur museum place was rather amazing, almost felt like in the middle of the jungle in Crisis what with all the ambient sounds etc.

Oh also, be sure to not miss this pickup from Rinder's Stash, this is the most powerful shotgun in the game so far. The kick knocks not only whoever it is aimed at way back, but it will knock you back and shake the screen too. The sound is outstanding!

And lastly, the thermal katana once perked up is just such a joy to use:

Yup, on latest 2.0.1.

To fix it I have to go back to a manual save I took before I started the DLC. Every auto save after that point is “corrupted”.
