I’m having more issues with 2.01 than I did with 2… being unable to fast forward dialogue at times (a nightmare just now doing a certain water mission with Judy) and being unable to access inventory. Only fix is reloading.

Glad they fixed the issue with the radio music though.

The game can be pretty grim sometimes. Was just bimbling around heading to my next gig when a chap jumped out of a skyscraper and splatted next to me. Jeez!

That happened in GTA5 too I'm sure!

Meanwhile, I stole a car, passenger got killed, police gave chase, a 1st person action packed adventure ensued biggrin

Now this is one area that 2077 one-ups GTA5. You simply don't have tense action like this.

I've flown through the DLC and have completed all of the missions and side-gigs. Just wish it was a little longer.

Found a nice little surprise in respect on an old friend (vending) from the original game.

Ok my game is officially hosed and I’m gutted.

Have progressed into the DLC, not particularly far mission wise but enough that I’ve spent 10+ hours game time and more than that in actual time, and I’ve got the bug where you’re stuck in a phone call. I’m stuck with Songbird talking to me (although not, and in story terms it wouldn’t be possible), and I can’t call anyone, can’t advance time, etc.

On PC you can force end calls using console commands, per this: https://reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/s/IHFi2WQHm9

Obviously console commands don’t work on PS5.

I have a radical idea to fix.. since there is cross progression in the game, and apparently you can go from PC to console in unrestricted regions like the UK, I’m wondering if I could transfer my save to the GOG cloud, open it on PC, run that console command, save it, then load it back on PS5?

Only problem with this theory is that I would have to buy the game on PC, and the expansion, and I don’t have a decent enough PC for it. frown
Silly questions time ....
Have you tried the new patch as your bug may be fixed if it is a known one?
Have you tried going back to an earlier auto save ?
Yup, on latest 2.0.1.

To fix it I have to go back to a manual save I took before I started the DLC. Every auto save after that point is “corrupted”.
Quoting myself, just in case it's useful for anyone else, but I maneged to fix this by enlisting a friend who has the game on PC. Gave him my GOG account details with cloud saves/cross progression enabled, he loaded my save, ran a console command I gave him to "end all phone calls", which fixed the bug. After he saved it again I opened it on my PS5 and all was fixed.

Hi guys, considering buying this on the current amazon deal at £14 on ps4. I'll then do the free ps5 upgrade. Is it worth it? I know there were many issues when it came out but I believe these have been patched now? I loved the developer's previous game , Witcher 3! Cheers thumbup

If it had launched in the state it’s in now there would’ve been no complaints. On PS5 at least it’s solid.

It has a very unique aesthetic that I’ve not seen in any other game. I could quite easily imagine a live action TV series based around it, and the language used.

All of that is to say that yes for £14 you can’t go wrong in my opinion.

For anyone that has finished it, if I complete the Phantom Liberty campaign, will it end the game and lock me out from completing the main story?

I'm at the point of no return mission in the main story (The one where you have to meet Hanako at Embers) and I'm fairly close to the end of the PL campaign. I'm keeping backup saves just in case, but when Phantom Liberty ends, will it wrap the game up with an entirely different ending to the main game, or can I carry on with the main story after PL wraps up?

If it closes the game out entirely, which should I finish first, the main campaign or PL? If PL is the 'true' ending for Cyberpunk 2077, I don't want to see that first if it will make the main story ending look like a damp squib in comparison.

No is the simple answer. Longer one, apparently depending on the route you take may result in an additional option for the main game ending.
I've not completed PL yet, and not far beyond you, also with a save before the start of that mission and am intrigued what the new option may be. (counted old saves - 1 per run through, this is my 13th.

I locked myself out of a path that gives you access to the unique weapon and netrunner pack thing. Part of me is gutted, but at the same time I’m happy with my choice.

Decided to get into the game again after buying it at launch. Left it just long enough to be a functional worthwhile time. Have enjoyed a lot of the main story bits and about to hit the end of the story after i do the DLC stuff.

The Phantom Liberty stuff has been good overall, feels real spy-movie-esque. Will admit i stuck around in the party mission long enough to see the little concert with Grimes/chrome woman and it was quite a thing, was well done with visuals and music. Nice little gem hidden away in a mission you could just walk out of before getting to see.

Well, after 124.5 hours, my time in Night City is at an end. I completed a 100% playthrough, completing every gig and side mission and all of the story missions on my path, obviously not completing some of them as the game locks you out of some depending on your choices throughout the game. In that time, I had only a single crash to desktop and only a single quest bug out, a Phantom Liberty side quest relating to a bumbling cop who opens a scopweiner stand - the garage door to his shop bugged shut so I couldn't go in to talk to him and complete the mission. A minor shame, but a common bug and not one I'll be hanging around to see them fix.

Overall, an absolutely sensational game. Truly incredible. And to think of the absolute mess it was at launch, I had consigned it to the dustbin of history, but I'm glad I came back after all this time. CDPR have said the game is done and there will be no more DLC and I think that is a good choice, the game feels complete. Huge, but it doesn't outstay its welcome, the quality at almost every turn is impeccable.

My biggest issue with the game was the Kerry Eurodyne story. I know it's important to Johnny and arrives only once V has begun to get along with Johnny to an extent, it makes sense that she wouldn't care about his old bandmate earlier in the game as she is only just coming to terms with her death sentence in the relic. Still, the Eurodyne story was too long, I frankly didn't like his character and it just felt like a waste of time. A story where time is of the essence and every second must count for something, I felt like the questlines for Judy, River, Panam etc all totally delivered, they were excellent and gave great character development, but the Eurodyne story just felt frivolous and stupid. I honestly think it would have been better for the story if Kerry actually did kill himself, to give Johnny a chance to reflect on it. The romance option with Kerry felt totally hollow too.

Still, the side-character questlines were excellent overall. I ended up in a romance with Judy, even though I didn't like her all that much. Panam won my heart but I felt like V would never be happy away from the city and Panam would never be happy to live anywhere but on the road, plus I suspected that having the Aldecaldos help me in the final quest would be a heavy price to pay in their blood. I loved the River Ward story and he seemed like a great guy, again just someone I felt was too nice to get wrapped up in V's trail of destruction. Judy on the other hand was a right pouty little turd.

In the end, I got the Devil ending, helping Takamura and Hanako, before rushing to become an engram. This lead to a falling out with Johnny Silverhand, another character I frankly didn't like all that much. He had a few good moments, but mostly was sulky idealist renegade who couldn't seem to grasp that his "death to the corpos at any cost" approach couldn't solve the world's problems. Indeed, his final talk with me was about principles being more important than life or death, but I played a corpo-path V, who seemed to dislike corporations but was happy to work for one to survive. My V felt like a survivor who knew she alone couldn't right the wrongs of the world, so at the end took the best chance to seperate herself from Johnny. Since I got the "6 months to live" ending, I guess she died for what she believed in, eventually.

Also, it's kind of annoying how some of the best guns only become available right before the end of the game. In fact, there's a really cool iconic weapon you can only get after you finish the game, as far as I'm aware, but by that point you have nothing left to do with it except shoot gang members on street corners or replay the final mission. A shame also that Johhny's pistol felt like a total death machine in the flashback sequences, but when you actually get it, it's definitely not as powerful. In the flashbacks, it will kill anyone with a single headshot, but when V gets the gun, even with maxed out pistol and crit skills, it can take two, even 3 shots to the head to kill any enemy. A bit of a shame, it's not like the combat difficulty in the game really mattered and CDPR could have said "fk it" to balance and just made it as lethal in V's hands as it was in Johnny's.

Overall, I'd say the game is a must-play and a triumph against the odds. The scope, scale and insane level of detail really cannot be overstated. The richness of the characters and the level of storytelling is up there with the best of the best.

In the the RPG scenario involving Johnny Silverhand (which was the example/starter one in the 2020 rule book, and may have also been alongside the original rules (now known as 2013) he was a minor character and one you rapidly hated.

Well completed Phantom Liberty last night and really enjoyed it though I discovered the hard way one (maybe 2) of the four endings does end the game (does make sense with what happens) however at present you do not get a 'One More Time' type option like you do with the main endings. Good job I did a save before doing it and also you have the usual Point of no Return you can reload (where you can choose to carry on with other things instead).
Annoyed that at a key point I missed a room and so did not get the plans for the two dark wall items.

Patch 2.2 now out. 14.54GB on GoG.
Looking at the notes there are fixes for some bugs I've been hit by, including the dying when you enter the AV at the end of the Rogue ending.
