Coincidentally, the other Countach used in the film for the non-crashing scenes is also being auctioned a couple of weeks after this one.

Assuming the car was acquired for the film around 2012, and being a USA spec 25th anniversary car, I suppose it didn't cost that much really at the time in terms of a Hollywood film budget. Probably not much more than having a convincing replica built would have done.

Never the less a shame to destroy the car like that. I'm sure it's worth a lot more than a smashed up Countach that hasn't been in film, but surely not as much the auction estimate is suggesting.

So you purchase this wreck for stupid money and then do what with it??????????????
Stick it in a dehumidified garage just like any other pointless garage queen? It won't be driven just all the other pointless crap people covet.

I think I’d prefer one of the intact Countachs from the start of Rain Man, or even the Cruise-driven 412

The Anniversary is a pig of a Countach, but a real shame it's in that state. Silly money too.
