𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄

When it comes to high powered sports coupes, the Japanese have more than excelled in providing us with some real gems over the years. Toyota, famous for the legendary Supra, sprinkled some of that magic on its luxury line Lexus when it unveiled the RC Coupe in 2013 at the Tokyo Motor Show.

The executive level RC Coupe was initially offered with three engines, a 2.5-litre inline four, a 3.5-litre V6 and the range topping 5.0-litre V8. The renowned Lexus V8 was reserved for the RC F, the high performance version of the sports coupe, which became the halo car for the model lineup in 2015.

With 477hp from its naturally aspirated V8, an 8-speed automatic gearbox and a Torque Vectoring Differential, the RC F was packed with both performance and the latest technology.

Customers could also choose the optional Carbon pack, which added a carbon fibre roof, bonnet and an adjustable boot spoiler. The carbon fibre option claimed to save approximately 15kg in weight and was offered clear coated or painted.

The Lexus RC F Carbon cost an additional £8,000 over a standard RC F and along with the external carbon styling, buyers were treated to a Mark Levinson hi-fi surround system, heated Alcantara seats and new alloy wheels.

What makes the Lexus RC F Carbon even more special is the fact that only 26 are believed to have been sold in the UK, making the 2015 example being offered here on PistonHeads a very rare car indeed.

𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

This range topping Lexus RC F Carbon was first registered on 16th March 2015. It was ordered in Lexus Ultra White Pearl with exposed carbon fibre and two tone black leather and alcantara interior.

The V5C shows four former owners and the current owner acquired the RC F Carbon in September 2022.

The Lexus has full service history from new, with a total of eight stamps in the service book. A total of seven services were carried out by Lexus/Toyota main dealers with one stamp by a specialist garage.

The RC F Carbon’s most recent service was carried out on 9th October of this year at a cost of £2,325 and it has covered approximately 30 miles since that service earlier this month.

The car comes with the Lexus Owners Book Pack and is supplied with two sets of keys. The Lexus also has a valid MOT Certificate until 31st August 2024 with no advisories.

The owner adds the service carried out by Lexus on 9th October 2023 provided a full year’s warranty, which can be transferred to the new owner if they prefer to continue this into 2025 as part of the Lexus 10 year guarantee.

Please note the private plate J20 KAV is not included in the sale, and the car will be transferred back to an age appropriate plate.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿

The interior of the RC F Carbon is finished in black leather with black alcantara inserts, with both white and blue highlight stitching on the door cards and blue stitching on the alcantara covered pinnacle.

The heated electric sports seats are in very nice shape with minor signs of use. The styling of the duo leather and perforated alcantara seats is attractive, with the headrests finished with an embossed “F”.

Sitting proudly in the centre of the dashboard is the Lexus clock which adds a touch of style to the luxurious sports coupe interior.

One of the stand out features of the F Carbon pack is the Mark Levinson 835 watt 17 speaker surround sound system, which the owner informs us is very impressive.

As this is a 2+2 Coupe, there is seating in the rear and these look like they have hardly been used. It may be a tight fit for 2 adults back there but once in, they can be treated to two soundtracks… the one from the V8 and the tunes from the surround sound system.

The car is provided with genuine Lexus rubber and cloth matts and a rubber boot liner.

𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿

With its Ultra White Pearl paint and exposed carbon fibre, this Lexus is a real head turner from every angle. The white paint is in very good condition all round.

The detailing on the carbon fibre bonnet, roof and spoiler is impressive, with the carbon weave looking simply stunning to look at. It gives the car the purposeful and slightly aggressive appearance that one would expect from a range topping V8 sports coupe.

The model specific alloy wheels are finished in gloss black and these are in very good condition all round.

Cosmetics wise there are some stone chips noted on the bonnet and there are three small nicks in the paint on the driver and passenger door shuts, which are shown in the photos.

𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹

Under the bonnet resides the naturally aspirated Lexus 5.0 litre V8 engine. The engine bay presents in very clean condition with the blue of the interior matched by a blue engine intake.

The 477hp V8 is noted for its sonorous soundtrack, which is played through its quad exhaust system.

All that power and torque is mastered through the 8-speed automatic gearbox, which has Eco, Normal, Sport and Sport+ modes.

And keeping all that power in check is the TVD system on the rear, which has standard, slalom, track and snow modes.

The Lexus RC F Carbon is the ideal car for those who appreciate something a bit different. Its styling is very unique, which is enhanced by the exposed carbon fibre and we think it looks very cool. The RC F Carbon is a very rare car here in the UK and the chances of meeting another on the open road are pretty slim. Which makes owning one quite special. With that mighty V8 under the bonnet, this Lexus RC F Carbon is a superb luxury sports coupe that will simply eat up the miles.
