𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄

Launched in 2010, the Evora was designed to be a more practical and daily-drivable sports car compared to other lightweight Lotus models like the Elise. The "S" version featured a supercharged 3.5L V6 engine producing 350 horsepower, allowing it to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds.

Inside, there’s an intimate, driver-focused cockpit with supportive bucket seats and posh materials that contrast with the spartan interiors of its siblings. Underneath, though, it’s still a Lotus and a lightweight composite body keeps the pounds off, while the rigid chassis allows responsive steering and confidence-inspiring cornering abilities.

In late 2012, Lotus announced the ‘Sports Racer’ special edition, which came with all the toys and a price reduction to keep sales ticking over. This is one such car and, as such, comes loaded with pretty much all the available extras. Finished in a fantastic and rare colour combination, inside and out, it’s a hugely tempting prospect.

𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

● Delivered new by Bell and Colville on 26 April 2013, the car has had three owners in total

● A full book pack is accompanied by a certificate of provenance and presentation box

● The Service book shows annual stamps from Lotus main dealers

● Oil services were carried out at 1,006, 3,369, 5,230, 6,325, 9,693, 13,357 and 15,182 miles, brake fluid changed at 9,693 miles and 15,182 miles, gearbox oil changed at 9,693 miles

● The seller reports his understanding that the car was dry stored and kept as part of a collection for the majority of its life by the same owner

● In current ownership, it’s been kept in a garage with the battery maintained on a CTEK charger and the car will come with quick connection fitted for the CTEK charger

● The MOT history is very clean and the current MOT is valid to 30 November 2023

● Black leather premium pack sports Recaros with red piping and stitching set a suitably sporting tone

● Red-stitched black leather abounds in the cabin and the overall effect is very smart

● Although there are some scratches on the metal sill plate and some damage to one of the plastic clips that holds in the carpet on the driver’s side, the cabin is largely unmarked

● This car was optioned with the 2+2 rear seats

● No faults are reported with any of the switchgear or technology

● In all, the cabin is in superb condition and beautifully complements the exterior

● Metallic Starlight Black paint (code C93) with black wheels and contrasting red Lotus-branded callipers combine to produce a purposeful, menacing look

● A central exhaust protrudes from a fairly aggressive-looking diffuser at the rear

● The wheels are 19 and 20 inch forged items

● Front mudflaps and strategically placed paint protection film help to reduce the level of stone chipping, though there a few to be found including a couple on the wheels

● The car had 4 new tyres fitted this year: Michelin PS4’s at the front and Pirelli P-Zeroes at the rear, and the vendor tells us that there is significant tread remaining all round

● In summary, it’s a fine looking car in a very desirable and rare colour combination
